I Will Drink
I will drink from this well.
Your fear will not quench my thirst.
I will drink from this well
And let these ancient Waters revive me.
You imagine the disease they bring,
You invent the infection they Spawn.
I fear you thirst only for blood
And feed on the hope of eradication.
But I will drink from this well.
I will know refreshment and vigor
And the youth of children
Who fear not the fountains that birthed them.
This Water I drink.
Though a stranger here
My satiation I will not deny
And my sight I will not ignore.
